The centerpiece of the identity is a series of vector self-portrait illustrations: one for each service area, each depicting a different version of me. These character illustrations create a personal, approachable brand presence while maintaining visual consistency across the portfolio.

The logo is built from two code carets (< >) that rotate around each other to form the letters S and N. This dual-character system references the development side of my practice while creating a flexible, animated mark. As the site scrolls, the logo seamlessly transitions between the two letterforms, creating a subtle sense of motion and technical craft.

The visual language employs bold colors and geometric shapes. The cartoonish style adds a playful touch, making the brand feel approachable and friendly in contrast to the trend of building portfolios that are machine-like and impersonal.

Color is assigned by service area, with each section receiving its own signature hue that dynamically impacts the interface. This creates clear spatial orientation. The contrast is stark between blues, purples, oranges, and pinks, creating a clear demarcation between areas of the site, and also demonstrating my willingness to oversaturate a bit when necessary.

The initial brand identity featured silhouette portraits of the founding duo, establishing a personal connection with the audience through distinctive visual markers.

As the band expanded to a quartet, the brand required evolution. The transition to an alarm clock motif aligned with the band's name while providing a more scalable and versatile identity system for album releases and promotional materials.

The final logo system balances visual impact with practical flexibility, accommodating the full band name while remaining effective across diverse applications and formats.

For the 2019 EP Fugitive Closure, the album artwork incorporates photography of Pulpit Rock, with compositional elements (a solitary figure, atmospheric lighting) that convey themes of aspiration and possibility.
